Which Path?
I
would like to think we are put on this planet to better ourselves, to become better people. Not perfect people, but
better people. There must be a reason why there are so many choices of paths to choose from. If the path you are
on is leading you towards goodness, caring, sharing, loving your neighbor than that is a good thing. If your friend
is on another path and is leading her/him to the same end results as your path: goodness, caring, sharing, loving your
neighbor than there is no conflict. Your end results are the same, your goals are the same, you just chose different
methods of how to get there. No one way is THE way, there is no ONE way, there are countless ways, and they all deserve
respect. Can you imagine if there was only one path to enlightenment, I wonder if overcrowding would present a problem.
By deciding to place yourself upon
a path, you automatically stop your circle of life. By living on a circle's line, you just go round and round and
round. You keep repeating the same patterns, the same outcomes, the same way of thinking, nothing changes on the circle's
line - it's a closed line - forever connected.
Imagine yourself on a path. Ahhh, already you can breath easier since you decided to stop all that circle
spinning. Ugh, it felt like that poor hamster running in his wheel, never getting anywhere, never even leaving
his starting place.
Now
back to the path. For a minute let's clear the path entirely to get a better view of what is lying underneath. A
straight line, a beautiful straight line that is endless and engulfed with golden light filled with unconditional love.
Oh sure there will be curves on the line, some gentle, some hard, but nothing one can't overcome. While walking
on your path, and staying focused on your end results and goals, you stay the course, never encountering the same exact experience
twice. On a straight path you will always experience new things, new thoughts, seeing life in a new light. Though
the path is endless doesn't mean you never hit your targets, you most certainly will. For all along your path are your
goal destinations. You will meet people, books, events, to help you through your next step. Everyone's path
is unique, but some of you will be climbing mountains, walking through beautiful meadows, will probably need to cross a swamp
now and again. I've walked through some swamps (didn't use the boat), but once I reached the opposite shore,
I've never felt cleaner, and lighter in my life. I left all my swamp muck where it belonged, in the swamp.
Perhaps you will encounter some forests, but when you emerge from the forest, such a golden light will shine upon you.
And then the day comes when the path eases up, the mountains become mounds, the swamps
are pristine lakes, brooks, or ponds. Your life has changed in so many ways. That smile on your face now, the
one that comes from deep inside you. It is no longer a surface smile, but a soul smile. Be proud of all what you
have accomplished, you deserve it.
And to know you are never alone all along your journey is the greatest comfort one can feel. What a
gift. Thank you Universe for being with me every step of the way.
Isn't it time to get off the merry go round?
